Te’ashur winery was established in 2016 by Avraham Levy using his many years of farming experience. After several successes, he decided together with his nephew, Moshe Alfasi, to build a winery and in the future plant a vineyard with grape varieties suitable for desert climate and the unique region. The family winery sits on the banks of the Gerar River in the northwestern Negev, an area full of springs, agricultural fields and ancient mounds settled along the edges of the desert wine route.
Today, the 4,000 bottles of wine produced in the winery are made from grapes grown in Mikveh Israel and other choice locations. Focusing mostly on red varieties, the winery makes shiraz, malbec, and petit Verdot, and blends.
Sitting beside the Gerar River is a nature reserve filled with trees and orchards, springs, as well as flowing river water and ancient archeological artifacts, all natural elements that enrich their wines.
