Yossi, who is a graduate of Melton ORT College – Bat Yam and retired from the Ramon Air Force Base, and Judith, a graduate of Wertzberger College, established the Karmey Har Hanegev Farm in 2004 with their 3 children, fulfilling a childhood dream and out of a love of horses.
When Yossi retired after a lengthy career in the Israel Defense Forces, he decided to explore his love of wine and planted a vineyard of chardonnay, merlot, and shiraz varieties on a 6 dunam plot.
The vineyard is around 800 meters above sea level, with ideal weather conditions for high yields and superb grape quality.
The farm’s location is perfect for excursions to hiking trails, craters, and parks including Makhtesh Ramon, Ramon Nature Reserve, Zin Nature Reserve, and Har HaNegev.
