The winery was founded in 2010 by the Bar-Sade family, when their son, Tsoof, was 9 and asked to make wine from grapes purchased at the supermarket. Today Tsoof is the winemaker at the winery, receiving assistance from his father, Eli, and mother, Dganit. The winery is experimental, researching natural wine production, and abstaining from the use of bisulfate. The winery is in Arad, 600 meters above sea level, and 1,000 meters above the Dead Sea.
This ‘garage’ winery produces natural wines from organic vineyards, most of which are in the Negev. The wine is made with minimal intervention, spontaneous fermentation of wild yeast which comes from the grapes themselves, and without filtration and sulfur dioxide.
In addition to wine tastings, the Bar-Sade’s host a Knight’s Feast, named “the tribal fire” for guests in their yard where they serve meat from the grill and smoker, and unlimited wine from their winery.
